Are you interested in learning some basic woodwork and DIY skills to help around the house or in your crafting? We are holding a trial course, consisting of 2 sessions:

Friday 13th November 10am - 1pm

Friday 20th November 10am - 1pm

This trial course will be open to 6 people and will form the basis of future courses, adding different skills.

It will be held in our studio and all materials and tools will be provided.

Our friendly expert Mike Ledger will run the sessions. Mike has many years experience in woodwork and DIY as well as running the weekly Upcycling Club at the Hub.

These first 2 sessions will introduce basic woodworking tools including saws, tri squares, clamps, chisels, various work benches and many more.  You will get the chance to use these tools and also be introduced to some "not so basic" tools.

You will learn how to fit shelves / curtain rails to your walls, including identifying the correct fixings to use and be able to practice this art. We will also introduce how to fit hinges and some of the various types.

If time allows, you may also make a small key box to hold your spare keys!

Spaces are limited to 6 for these 2 initial trial sessions.
