Overview
Join us at The Power House for our Upcycling Cafe, a relaxed, creative session where you can learn how to bring new life to old or tired items.
What to expect
Each session introduces different upcycling techniques, with support on hand whether you’re just getting started or building your skills.
This week we will be joined by Sonja of Uptown Junk, who will demonstrate and guide you through a themed workshop - this month’s theme is SHINY THINGS! Bring in boots, shoes, a handbag, a glasses case or leather belt - anything you’d like to BLING UP!
Alongside this, we will also create poster art, starting with a poster and using paint blending techniques to give it a different look and make your own unique piece of art on a board.
New members are very welcome, even if they have never upcycled before. All materials are provided. If it is your first visit, we will introduce you to various techniques of Upcycling.
It’s a friendly, supportive space where you can try something new, build confidence, and enjoy being creative alongside others. Feel free to let us know what YOU’D like to do.
You’re also very welcome to come along for a hot drink and a chat, even if you don’t take part.
