Hub Ahoy! Full Steam Ahead with Continued Hub Set Up
April and May were busy months with lots of busy bee volunteers helping us continue to set up the hub.
Mike painted our office (doesn’t it look beautiful!) and Poole’s Men’s Shed visited to measure up to make us a bespoke wrap around desk to maximise the space. The desk will be installed later in the Summer possibly Autumn as Edd is rather busy making things to sell at Poole Men’s Shed week at the Gather Hub in the Dolphin.
Once he’d painted the office, Mike moved on to making the storage in our new Cloakroom - which was installed by Tim of Homeworx Dorset. Our new to us Belfast sink and stand looks perfect with our new cupboards and disabled toilet. Ensuring we are more accessible. And we finally have an easier to access light switch in our existing toilet - beautifully modelled by Thriver Ela!
Thank you Tim! You have once again worked to a high standard and given us what we need.
Dave progressed the Art Studio bespoke storage to maximise our storage capacity, finishing Phase 1 off at the end of May. Dave is working on creating a pull down top shelf and in the meantime we’ll be getting in some temporary shelves ready for when we collect the rest of our art materials from Hamworthy Library - finally!
Now to focus on Honiton House refurb so he can move he permanent and do more at The Power House Hub and Cornerstone Patch.
Next stop … Hub ramp! Oh … and to get our existing loo replaced …
