Help shape a creative and connected future for our community

The Power House - Poole is a creative community hub dedicated to improving wellbeing and connection through arts, learning, and participation. We believe creativity can bring people together, strengthen communities, and restore hope in challenging times.

We’re recruiting new Trustees to our Board including a Chair and Treasurer to help guide us through our next stage of growth.

Who we’re looking for

·       Fundraising and income generation

·       Marketing and communications

·       Human resources and organisational development

·       Legal, compliance, or charity governance

·       Community development, youth work and social inclusion

You don’t need previous trustee experience (although that would be great), what matters most is your commitment, curiosity, and belief in the power of community.

The roles

·       Chair of the Board: providing inclusive leadership and guiding the organisation during this exciting period of growth

·       Treasurer: overseeing financial strategy and timely financial reporting

·       Trustees: contributing ideas, networks, and expertise to help strengthen our work and impact

Trustees currently meet monthly during this period of growth, moving to quarterly meetings in 2026. All roles are voluntary, with induction and ongoing support provided. Reasonable expenses are covered.

You’ll be part of a small, friendly and committed team helping shape a vibrant, creative hub with real local impact. This is a chance to contribute your skills and passion to something that truly matters to the local community and Poole.
