Meet the Maker - Bespoke Castings at The Power House

Gold-coloured life casting of a mother’s hand holding her son’s hand, displayed on a black base with the inscription: “The bond between mother & son lasts a lifetime.”

On Saturday 25 July, The Power House will welcome a local maker specialising in bespoke baby and life castings.

Shelley Arnold, the artist, creates bespoke baby castings, life castings, that capture precious moments and memories as beautiful, lasting keepsakes.

If you’ve ever wondered about having a casting made, come along for a chat and find out more about the process, the options available, and pricing.

The business began from a deeply personal place.

“After years of infertility, my dream of becoming a mum finally came true 12 years ago. From the moment I held my son, I wanted to remember every tiny detail,  his little fingers, his wrinkled toes and that’s when I created my first castings.

“I’ve been making them ever since, crafting each piece with the same care and love. I truly enjoy doing casts with people of all ages, from newborns to adults, because castings create meaningful memories at every stage of life.”

A selection of Shelley’s work will be on display at The Power House, giving visitors the chance to see the different styles and options available.

You can also find out more about how the casting process works, discuss prices and ask any questions before deciding whether it is right for you.

There is no pressure to book. You are welcome to reserve a time or simply pop in for a look and a chat on the day.
