A new programme to help our community eat well, save money and connect

We're excited to share some wonderful news. Thanks to three years of funding from Dorset Community Foundation's BCP Crisis & Resilience Fund, The Power House will be launching a brand-new Food & Financial Wellbeing Programme for our local community.

Over the next three years we'll be bringing people together through affordable cooking sessions, shared meals, community growing, practical money-saving ideas and seasonal events at both our Community Hub and the Cornerstone Patch.

Working alongside partners including Friendly Food Club and The Money Charity, we'll share simple ways to eat well, make money go further and build confidence in everyday life.

Whether you're joining us around the table, joining us to forage, helping with a harvest or coming along to one of our community celebrations, everyone will be welcome.

We believe good food has the power to bring people together. This programme is not just about cooking; we’re creating opportunities for people to connect, learn new skills, share ideas and feel part of their community.

We'll be sharing more details over the coming weeks as to how you can get involved, as we prepare to launch the first activities this autumn, and we can't wait to welcome you.
